University High: 2010 Academic Decathlon Victory (2)

"The smartest kids in the Fresno area fought it out for academic honors today, and just like the athletes, they had their own cheering sections.

Fans from University High celebrated their team's success at the Fresno County Academic Decathlon Sunday at Clovis East.

The two-week competition culminated with the super quiz section and this year, there's a new champion.

Edison High School won the decathlon for 13 straight years, but they finished second today.

Congratulations go out to University High School for their big win and to University's Eric Hendey for the top individual score.

Edison could still get a wild-card entry into the state competition."
