Hmm Surely looks like something from the Reduviidae family. There are sevreal subspecies fo assassin bugs. I was looking for the markings or ridges on his back but could not make any out but that could just be picture quality. Good pics anyway! :0)

I spent two straight days searching and searching and just couldn't pinpoint the exact insect...

This bug was actually handsome compared to the bug that attacked me during my last visit to Missouri! Two words...Camel Cricket:0
I made a video of it but it is sooooo ugly I'm not sure if I want to even post it! Have you ever had a run in with one in your neck of the woods:)?
