  • Wow, all I can say

  • "Sober is just another word for thirsty." Lord.

  • The content of this slam is profound, even inimitable. And her delivery is bar none. She f'n kills it. Hands down. Only thing is, her stylizing gets in the way of her raw, natural talent. While bombast is a much needed technique, I think sometimes she overheats it; it diminishes the impact of the words themselves (there are some parts where it is hard to hear what she says bc of this). But, that said, all in all, THIS IS AN F'N POET HERE!!! Big ups Sierra, you muse is infectious ;)

  • someone just did this in my public speaking class and it gave me chills... this is amazing and so powerful

  • SIlver is just another word for thirsty

  • @HankMeyer It is not a monologue, it's a slam poem, and its practiced and passionate because that's what slam poetry is, it's also hugely presentation based. If you recited this in a wacky clown voice you'd just be a very odd slam poet.

  • @HankMeyer ...part of spoken word is how you speak the words, in addition to the words themselves. It is part of how you are scored at a slam.

  • @Cantaketheskyfrome well, when you recite a preplanned monologue with the sort of practiced passion she pretends to have, anything could sound as beautiful. I think she relies too heavily on presentation. Try reciting this same poem in a wacky clown voice, or your best andy rooney impression and tell me how beautiful it sounds then.

  • Words can't describe the beauty that comes from this woman.
