At heart, The First 45 is a first impressions video. There's a catch, the impressions we offer are taken solely from the first 45 minutes that we spend playing a game. They say first impressions are the most important, and we feel it is the same with games. If you really aren't pulled into a game within the initial hour, chances are good you won't dig it after that.

There are no exceptions, this is exactly the beginning 45 minutes, from the time we boot up the game. What if the game pulls an MGS and starts with a 30 minute cutscene? That's too bad. We live in a fast pace society, and we don't have time to waste. We just want to play games.

seem to disagree, 2k9 is better...and about the fact that if a guy is clanking shots for the first half of the game that he'll keep clanking shots off the backboard for the rest of the game bugs me coz players in the nba adjust when theyre struggling and can get hot

Live 09 is buggy. Yeah, 2K9 got bugs as well, but in Live they drive through each other, you got the INSANE trampoline dunks and the tacky animation combination. 2K9 is a lot harder against the CPU, the movements are a little laggy but harder than Live which makes it more realistic. 2k's got a whole universe of different sig shots, dunks, layups, freethrows, something Live lacks. Anyway, I enjoy playing both of them, but for different purposes.
