Siobhan Fahey carries on without Marcella Detroit, although it sure does sound like her on backing vox...

  • Siobhan has had it hard, particularly from the music press, which chose early on to write her off. And with Shakespears Sister, Marcella was the darling, what with here rock/pop CV and her vocal range. But Shakespears Sister without Marcella is just dandy - it is rougher, but also more charming. Fahey has a uniqueness, and a very interesting smokey quality to her voice. And anyway, did Detroit's career go anywhere much after the split?

  • She looks like Lea Michele.

  • @JosephKuby: Yeah, Marcella just SUCKED!

  • So F**ing EXCELLENT... I especially love the line "And all the pretty people that I used to see have died or moved away or they're in recovery" - classic Siobhan sarcastic humour! If you like this, but the record, for goodness' sake. It's called "#3" and every song on it rules...

  • deary me

  • I would definitely picture David Bowie singing this. But only Siobhan OWNS it!

  • @vampire176 erm this was recorded by SF before Jagged Little Pill had been released

  • @chevgr, Marcella was window-dressing. ;-)

  • @sayah64, indeed. :d :q :p :b

  • I've uploaded a HQ version of this video, and all other Shakespears Sister videos - check my channel.

  • @harkonnen80 first thought as i heard the beginning was: bowie ;o)
