This song is huge gift for many children that LOVE to hear and sing it! My 4 year old girl loves to sing this song, and I cry happy tears when I hear her belt it out!

I totally agree with you with almost everything you said. Yes, it was indeed all very innocent but one thing though....those things did exist back then too but they were never let out in the open. Karen was a very troubled girl...proof, she died of ANOREXIA...which was still unkown or taboo back then. When you live in the USA, then you really get all the details about those 'celebrities'.
