Medialogy Aalborg University P1 Android app about first aid - Førstehjælper-Spillet

Initiating Problem:
"People are often afraid to act in emergency situations. Is it possible to design a fun and user-friendly application that will make people feel more comfortable about their first aid skills?"

During our first semester at Medialogy, Aalborg University, we developed an Android app with the purpose of helping people getting better at (remembering) how to do proper first aid.

This was our first try at Java/Android programming, so everything is very basic. It wasn't a requirement to develop an actual product - we could as well just have designed it on paper - but we decided to try it anyway. This video demonstrates our small prototype.

The theme for the project was "Designing from both sides of the screen", and the sub-theme was "Consumption". The latter ties into how the state could potential save money and bed hours at the hospital if we, by using this app, could raise the general knowledge about how to do first aid in Denmark. The case is that many people are afraid of acting, even though the might have been on a first aid course.
