"Cleared to Land...I guess."

Arriving on the ILS 9R at Melbourne, we get a very baffled hand off followed by a landing clearance that left us at a loss for words... BTW, I'm not the pilot speaking over the radio at the time.

SWA 371 cleared to taxi on runway 3..6..RIGHT... I guess....uhhhhh, if you you want to though, because you'll have a 757 inside you plane.

In the aviation world, there is no such thing as, "I guess" or "It should be ok" or "It should be ok to fly".
