Setup reference images planes in Maya 2011

Is there a way to make sure that the image is the correct size on the plane? I created the square and then realized that my image wasn't a perfect square lol.

@InvalidUniverse Well if you don't wanna use photoshop to square the image.. then get the pixel size (width height) for the image and then create a plane to the exact same dimensions..
