The Holiness of God is Ligonier Ministries' most popular and enduring series. Literally thousands of people have testified to a transforming encounter with God through this series.

This classic can help you better understand the biblical picture of God's awesome holiness and why it is so foundational to God-centered, God-honoring theology and Christian living. In The Holiness of God, R.C. Sproul demonstrates that encountering God's holy presence is a terrifying experience. Dr. Sproul argues that this struggle is nonetheless necessary because it is the only way to cure our propensity to trust in ourselves and our own righteousness for salvation.

  • As a sovereign grace (Calvinistic) Pentecostal I may not accept everything RC Sproul but on the TULIP I am in absolute agreement. This message is timely. I find many want to talk about the love of God but very few want to talk about the Holiness of God

"very few want to talk about the Holiness of God'- I know what you mean. I find very few want to talk about the purpleness of unicorns.

  • I don't think the answer to the problem of evil that Edwards and gerstner had developed sat well with sproul. It's one if those truths that Paul may regard as being meat given to babes who should only get milk.

  • I think I own all of R.C's books, some I have read several times. His only problem that I found problem with is his answer to the problem of evil. He says it's a mystery, but jobathon Edwards who he quotes emphatically and John gerstner, an old teacher of his had the answer

  • Yes, Christians must never do wholesale consumption of teachings from any single bible teacher. I have no Labels pe se, even though I attend a Pentecostal church and embrace some Calvinism...and name them... I see R.C. as one theologian that I can trust when it comes to teachings on "Practical Christian Living" from a "Theologian". He and some of his cohorts are a few of the Best Theologians (versus a Parish Pastor) that are solid on teachings on Daily Christian Life. I like him.
