  • i laugh every time i see that goofy dude stick his face in when you're doing the close :D

  • @GODLIKE20000 hahah yes that was so stupid I was damn serious at the time than he came to distract me. Right now still no #3 close.. but #2.5 start to feel more easy every time I close it.

  • respect to gripmasters he made this video when no one knew COC. now they are very well known since the last 6 months or so. Loads of peopel are putting up shiity grainy garbage videos of "I closed a 1.5" when they didnt close shit. THis dude here was closing a 2 in a suit 3 years ago and he is honest and helps others. I mean this video actually has honest people commenting instead of the "i almost closed a 4 at 16" type bs elsewhere on youtube

  • @sikhman100

Thank you very much for your comment! Yes that is true I was crazy about grippers already back in 2004. I posted many comments, I guess I saw almost every grip video here on youtube. But the last months, I stopped commenting a bit because SHIT youtube chanced the layout and the 5 star rating. I have no Idea how much time I put into it but it is awfully lot. Thanks again! Keep it up! Greetings, Gripmasters (BTW I closed the #2.5 for 3 baby reps but now I lost some strength again)

  • I have a question. I seem to be able to close the #1 by positioning my hand further down but I cannot close it when I put all my hand in the regular position. Does it matter the position you put your hand in?

  • @dkblade27 Please search on youtube: how to set a gripper, this is very important, even if you are extreme strong if you don't set the gripper correct you can never close it. Let me know how it is going.

  • You have got to be kidding me. Dont even try to compare the hg's with CoC. I did the mistake to start with the hg's and then i had to buy CoC. Hg grippers are verry bad quality i know from personal experience i destroyed 3 grippers so far and my coc grippers are as good as new. The training that coc grippers give you is world class.

  • He didn't just close them, he closed them while wearing a suit!

  • awesome man! Strong close!

  • @Gripmasters thats great to hear. I must confess for the last 2 years my enthusiasm comes and goes. For some reason i cant train more than 1 or 1-2 times a week without feeling subpar. I started on a trainer but was closing a #1 within 1 month. 6 months in i peaked at #1 for 13 reps. I had a #2 at the time but never came close. so for next 16 months just 1-2 workouts a month sets of 10 on #1. than a revival i got 1.5# and closed immediately for 3-4. got up to 6-7. and am now ready for 2 i think

  • @spartanjades I could close my #1 gripper for 20 reps when I got the #2, and I could close that one too. I'm up to 3 reps on the #2 right now

  • Dude, be proud! Everyone starts somewhere. I just ordered the #2 to try and I'll be proud when I close it!

  • @PhilipCox787

Thanks a lot! That is a very detailed description. I thought I got stronger because all of a sudden I closed the #1 after placing my hand lower. So I guess I have more to work on haha.

My question now is... which is the correct position to close it? I watched some vids on youtube and ppl use that leverage to close it.

  • @dkblade27 Yes, it matters. The lower you position your hand, the more you're using leverage to you advantage. It's the same principle as closing a door. It requires very little effort to close the average door, but the closer you place your hand to the hinges, the more effort it takes to close that door.
