@breakdance1441 You go to MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) after completing the ASVAB and the Physical you meet with a job counsler and will choose your Rate (Job) from a list that of those that are available. After that you will be given the chance to take the PST (Physical Screening test) for Navy Challenge Rates, such as SEAL, SWCC, EOD, Diver, or Aviation Rescue Swimmer. Navy Challenge rates are always available as long as you pass the PST. If you pass the PST then you go to NSWBT

@thankgodyourehere ahh, i see. So if they choose where to go?
-
@breakdance1441 NSW Candidates if they pass the PST before going to Boot Camp, go to a different Boot Camp to properly perpare them for BUDs or BCT.

Whoever has time before they leave I recommend if you can to get a copy of Blurjacket's manual 24th edition it's got tons of information that you will need for boot camp and navy life. Yes I know you get a copy of it in boot camp but hey if you can get one and you have a couple of months before you go read it memorize it you will have a great advantage going in to boot camp. Good luck shipmates. Anyone leaving 20120216?
