Homeland Security checkpoints are being set up more frequently all across USA. Here is what you should do, should you run into one of these unconstitutional checkpoints. Know your rights, and stick by them.

  • Geez, what an asshole...

  • @heavymetal9alchemist: No worries.

  • @Pafoofnik1 Which is why I said "if" thanks for clearing that up.

  • @heavymetal9alchemist said: "if these check points function anything like the border crossing"

    They don't.

About the only authority agents have at these types of checkpoints is to ask questions about nationality, and look for plain view violations of the law.

Agents have much wider and sweeping powers at border crossings.

  • @heavymetal9alchemist What I was seeing was people being stopped for 5-10 seconds and sent on their way. Operating like this I don't see how they can have an impressive arrest record. The border itself should be guarded better, and maybe have more demanding laws at checkpoints up to 75-100 mi from the border. As of now these cheeckpoints are seen as unconstitutional, and people don't want them. Some laws may have to be changed to make this work.

  • @ohannahdad Its hard to say what the procedure is in these videos because the man doesnt even answer the questions there maybe more to it. if these check points function anything like the border crossing then everyone in the car would be looked up and questioned for papers/identification. Can't even enter this country without a passport and a check in of where ur going and how long ur staying. If there is suspicion they search the car Ive crossed the border many many times. more strict at night

  • @heavymetal9alchemist I appreciate the concern you have; and hearing it this way creates some new thoughts for me. If all you have to do is say "I'm American" and you drive on; what has been accomplished? You could say this with a car full of cocaine and a couple of illegal aliens too. Operating like this doesn't make sense. If there is a real threatnce. they should beef this checkpoint up. If they aren't arresting anyone, it's a waste of taxpayers money, and for some people (not me) annoying.

  • @ohannahdad I mean im not saying whats right and wrong Im just stating my opinion thinking about the south's Issues with illegal immigration and the drug cartels. I mean it is Homeland security and i'd rather have people stopped and checked then missed and having dangerous stuff brought in that can result in the killing of innocent Americans because someone is butt hurt about being stopped and asked a question or two while driving. But thats just me.

  • @ohannahdad I really don't consider Arizona far from the border considering the Hispanic population of the state and the Problems America is having with illegal immigrants. I dont see check points like these around the northern border Probably because we don't have immigration problems with Canada and people smuggling all kinds of shit like illegal aliens, guns and drugs like the southern border patrol busts everyday I understand people being frustrated but big picture is more important now
