In the September 7th issue of The New Yorker, David Grann writes about the case of Cameron Todd Willingham, who was executed for setting a 1991 fire that killed his three daughters. In this video, featuring footage shot by fire investigators, Grann discusses the flaws of the original investigation and explains how a test fire conducted by authorities may have proved Willinghams innocence.

DIsgusting story, but not a true argument against the death penalty.

Executions are simply wrong by themselves. You trap a person in a cell and then you kill them. It doesn't matter if the person is a criminal. You KILLED a human being.

Any moral person, will feel this is extremely wrong. Shame on you, America, thinking you're the most advanced society.

And to think these crimes happen in one of the most religious states..Mouths full of Jesus, but hands covered in blood. Shame on you. A dump...

That critique of the hard working and brave Firefighters of West Yorks is not only shabbily and childishly written, it is extremely offensive to those who would risk their lives to save yours this very night should you requre them to(assuming they are not half asleep)...shame on you!

@scorch8282 ....Terrible , so sorry I did not listen intently to the first time I saw this video as I was so shocked.

Here in the UK I have had experience with fire officers in Yorkshire , they are just as bad as your lot , full of high and mighty opinions when in fact all they are are commoners wearing a uniform , often with pips. West Yorkshire firemen are notorious for having second jobs often turning up for a shift on Blue or Red or whatever watch half asleep.
