@Spawn904 Tell your kids you love them as often as you can...they will excel in life for you. By telling them you love them, you cement it in the brain that you believe in them and care deeply about them. My ex-wife NEVER tells my kids she loves them - needless to say, they resent her. Sad.

@jackson76724 You got it right there buddy..mothers can be very vidictive toward you in their presence - making you out to be the bad guy - mine did. As mine got older I explained to them what was going on - once they understood, they were really pissed off at the ex-Mrs.

@simi0690 I'm 'YoungDot82' by a different name. I understand what you're going through. My ex-wife took my 2 kids & moved 300 yards from where we lived & I played this over & over when they came over - now they have nothing but love for me & nothing but contempt for their mother. My daughter has just completed VCE with straight 'A's that she attributes to my teachings about life.
Stick with your kids mate.

I never really understood what this song was about when this song first came out. I was only 14 and my parents never split, but I really understand it now as I am in this unfortunate position with my first and only child.
