On March 26th Reliant Stadium held one of the largest ewaste event in country. Partnering with LG electronics, NCAA Final Four and Waste Management the event was a slam dunk! Thousands of pounds of electronics were donated for recycling, including some "fabulous finds".

At least 3000 cars were expected to drop off thousands of materials that should, and need, to be recycled. Melissa came ready to work and was on a quest to find the most unusual things being dropped off.

Who knows of what could be in the back of a car trunk?

People have been waiting for something to come around because you know, computer stuff gets old pretty quickly so they've been just stacking it in one corner of their house and looking for an event where they could get rid of it.

From here, these recyclables are going to Round Rock, which is one of eight processing plants, and everything will be processed there, broken down, commoditized. The plastics will be recycled, the hard drives, the motherboards, the glass, the TVs, everything will be broken down there.

A lot of different odd things are seen at these events like 60-inch TVs, TVs with their consoles, TV in the middle, flipped up to side, a stereo on one side, bar on the other side, etc.

In a vote of the top 5 most fabulous finds today there was item no.1, a fabulous boom box that plays any imaginary music you'd like it to. Item no. 2 was a Zach Morris "ask" phone, which everybody is fighting to keep because it's so fabulous. Item no 3 was a tube TV from outer space. Item no 4 was an old, humongous, old-style TV, with matching Mickey Mouse ear remotes. And no 5 was again, a very old style huge TV.

After a long successful day, thousands of pounds of e-waste was captured and there were some fabulous finds. Don't forget to vote - leave your comment below on which item you think is the most fabulous and the most unique out of all the items captured.

GreenopolisTV is here. Recycling is fun. Save the planet!
