Haven vs High Warlord Naj'entus (World of Warcraft)

So after about a month long hiatus from raiding due to the holidays, Haven gets back into the raiding scene and decides to hit up the Black Temple for the first time. After a few attempts we were able to down the first boss, High Warlord Naj'entus.


Notes:

-My assignment was to heal the melee groups. Circle of Healing does awesome wonders for this fight, but if things weren't too stressful, I'd just spam rank 2 Greater Heals for the sake of mana conservation.

-If you're a holy priest, the Spell Warding talent helps a lot for your own survival, especially when the boss' bubble shield pops.

-Yes, I dropped my lightwell a little too early before the boss was properly positioned. Ah well, it was originally meant for the melee, but I used it to heal myself instead, heh.

-Despite the fact that the boss' shield will heal him for 1% health per 2 seconds, don't be too hasty on popping it, yet don't be too slow about it either. The key is to making sure that everyone's topped off on health so that they can survive the 8,500 frost damage spike.

-This is a very healing intensive fight, so stacking the raid with upwards of 9 healers can help a lot.

-I was standing a little ways behind the boss near the melee. Thus, the somewhat sucky camera angle in regards to viewing what the rest of the raid was doing. On the plus side, there was plenty of room to not worry about getting hit by others' needle spine!

great video. have any of you guys saw the wow cheats pack from warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? its amazing, i recently down loaded the pack. its got completely everything in it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches and even the newest arena glitch. i probably shouldn't tell people about this but at the very least it gives you all a reasonable opportunity to get it before i own you all!

10% is 10%, it reduces the overall damage taken, and therefore increases his survivability, 10% of a 10000 damage attack is 1,000, 10,000 - 1,000 = 9,000, therefore, it could potentially save a priest, after which he could quickly heal himself back up to full, then go back to healing the raid, potentially avoiding a wipe
