Mustang 2011 5.0 at track (Pacific Raceways, Kent)

A few laps with the 5.0. Pretty tolerable in stock form, T2 has a little brake tremble going from 135 down to 60.... and T3A from 100 down to the 30-40 around into 3B. Other than that the car is very predictable on the edge and at transfer of full weight over before/after apex. Great car! Just need R compounds and track pads for it to make it a true beast. Only got a little of the video here, it got cut off during the last half somehow.

No problems at all. Ignore forums generally speaking... only people with problems generally post things there so it "appears" something is a bigger problem that it really is. The transmission is just fine. If you went by those forums I would think every 2011 5.0 is stuck with a dropped tranny.

let me know next time you guys are out with the mustang group. I'd like to hook up with actual track guys as apposed to the "bling" type guys. I've been to a couple local "get together's" and they all seem to be interested in mods, but none of them track. One person from our local bmwcca just bought a 5.0 and we'll be tracking together at the bmw and alfa days. my username at the pugetsound bmw boards is brycerichert as well. hope to meet you guys!

BMWCCA Oregon and Puget Sound, and Puget Sound Alfa club. That was my first day with that car... I'll post some more recent vids; I've finally tamed it. I'm getting a new suspension put in this Monday but I don't think there are any track days we can get up here until April! yikes.. it's the Pacific NW.. we have a very short season here unfortunately.

Great driving. I love the video setup. I'm running VIR in a couple weeks in my '11 GT and I'll use a Sony HDRCX130 off a headrest mount.

great video!! I've been planning on buying a 5.0. I just wanted to ask if you have had any problems with the 6 speed manual transmission? I've been reading on one of the Ford Mustang forums that it's becoming a wide spread problem with the manual transmission. Is that true? Thank you!
