We ran a workshop on Scratch at OReilly ETech 2009. The community accepted it right away and started using it. In 24 hours someone had borrowed a scratch board (aka pico board) from us and worked scratch into their presentation using it as a performative alternative to a normal powerpoint. It was entertaining to watch, and nice to see people be able to create with it so quickly.
ok i added an adhoc shoutout to k9d let me know if that seems appropriate
