  • If you watch carefully the shadow man at the begginning is walking backwards towards the chair, then turns round and bends over the chair ! Very odd, and just noticed this now.

  • This used to scare the shit out of me!!

  • Hmm - I remember another uk series - would have been around early 1980s - also standalone made-for-tv thrillers. The plot of one story concerned the reunion of some 'bluebell' style showgirls in middle age. They all meet at a luxury penthouse flat, and then are killed off one by one. Naturally they can't escape. I was sure it was "armchair thriller", but now I have read the synopses of all the stories I realise it must have been another show. Can anyone iD?

  • These weren't made for kids. They were for adults and only shown after 10pm here in Australia when I was a kid. I only saw them because I snuck out to watch them.

  • ok, so it's many years later and I'm now a grown man, but the intro still SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME. Damn you spooky shadow man. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this! This series used the scare the hell out of me when I was 13 years old. I used to hide behind my dad's chair watching this!!

  • thanks for the upload, Im hooked.

  • @drs168 The whole series is on region 2 DVD, released by Network DVD.

  • @Elibobbob No, it's not a kids series. Thames made it for adults and it went out around 10-10.30pm.

  • were these really made for children? I remember being scared stupid as a kid in the 80's watching these. they are more violent and menacing than hollywood produce with a 18+ cert. What happened to quality storytelling like this? Celebrity shite has invated uk tv sadly.
