Nice safety but that 8 ball actually goes. Put the Q about a foot away on the same rail and over cut it kinda hard with inside spin. This will "smush" the balls into the rail and throw the 8 into the corner. The only problem is that the 9 goes to the top rail and Q goes 3 rails and parks itself far from the 9.

i think that is a shot where you are playing your opponents skill level rather than the table.

Are you kidding me?? Safeties are for losers I'd shoot that as hard as I could one of them would have to go in..... In all seriousness that safety was good but you should been trying to leave the 8ball a little further away from the corner pocket about half-way inbetween the side and corner. It takes a little more control but the shot you left could be easily hit and made about %50 of the time by good players. Nice video
You may be right for your style of play. The likelyhood that one of these balls would go just because you hit them hard is pretty slim. There are a couple of way to increase the odds of making one or the other but all of the methods that I am aware of would require skills of a well rehearsed player and even then there is a certain luck factor.
I prefer the safe or defensive shot.
Thanks for your response, and good luck with your game.
