"My people... Sons and Daughters of Helghan... For many years, we have been a broken nation: shunned, oppressed, and conquered by those we sought to escape. Ten years ago, I asked for time, and that time was granted by you. You: the strength in my arm, the holders of my dreams... Our forefathers embarked on the greatest exodus in the history of all mankind. An exodus for freedom, Helghan became that freedom. Our new world changed our bodies. At first, it weakened us, but in fact, we were growing... stronger. In the time you have given me, I have rebuilt our nation, I have rebuilt our strength, and I have rebuilt our pride! Our enemies at home have been re-educated; we have given them new insights into our cause. On this day, we stand united once more. On this day, those driven to divide us will hear our voice! On this day, we shall act as one, and we shall be ignored NO MORE! Defenders of the Helghast dream, NOW IS OUR TIME!"

Most likely the only speech that comes second to this is by captain price but visari is way cooler and meaner

@masterbrice Actually, the speech is lifted almost pretty closely from a speech Hitler gave in the later years of 1930's after the German Wermacht had been rebuilt and before Munich. The exodus part was of course missing, but the "in the time you have given me..." bit was a riff on his 1st speech as German Chancellor where Hitler asks for 5 years (if I remember correctly) to rebuild the German nation. Who knew World History would actually be useful....for a video game no less.

Helghan corp transformed vekta into a great economic superpower while helghan was used as an outpost. But 1 day, the ISA corp attacked Vekta which started the first extrasolar war. The helghan corp lost and was exiled to Helghan. They had to endure A LOT on Helghan. Then came Visari who transformed the Helghan corp into the Helghast nation. He created an army and invaded Vekta which started the 2nd extrasolar war... And here we are!

In fact, the helghasts were never nazis. They where humans. A long time before Killzone 1, Earth had become unhospitable due to a nuclear war. The 2 main companies: ISA and Helghan, were searching for a new planet. Helghan corp won by finding what would become Vekta. Helghan was another planet which was given the name of the wining corp. Vekta was, unlike Helghan, a beautiful planet. (Continued in next comment)

After hearing a speech like that, I would happily give my life and in battle. If this was the speech of my leader, I would have fought and killed as many ennemies as I could possibly have been able. LONG LIVE THE HELGHAN NATION!!!!!!!

theyre kinda nazis when they arrived on helghan the radio sidgnals they recieved were from world war 2 so they fell in love with the nazi war machine and their ideas of unity its kinda hard to explain
