Michael Byers is morally bankcrupt, and typical of the "academic cheese" I see so much of in this country. In today's Star, he suggests that we should go against the U.S whenever possible. This of course means, that if the United States were urging Canada to go along with them on something sensible like the operation in Afghanistan, that we should, on the mere basis of asserting our sovereignty, oppose such an operation, which really leaves us with no true sovereignty!
