Border Collie puppies "herding" sheep for the first time.
The instint to herd has been bred into them for many generations.
Almost straight out of the box they know what to do with sheep but cannot be usefull until they are trained.
When they are old enough to be able to pass sheep they will be shown how to use this instinct to help shepherds with their flock and may well work on farms around the world.

I don't see how some of the people commenting below don't see what I see! There are obvious herding attempts happening here. They rounded them up next to the fence and then crouched in position to make sure the sheep stood still. When one got loose, they snuck up to it, keeping low to the ground and rounded it back up with the others. Remember they are only twelve weeks old so they aren't trained but it seems to me they are getting off to an amazing start!

This is not herding, this is chasing. I suppose at 12 weeks, you can't really expect more though, can you?

Yes, the herding instinct is; afterall, a modified HUNTING instinct, and it starts with what you see here. These pups are too young and not fast enough to do much else except awaken the instinct. BUT you can see the signs of the pups starting to show the eye and the stalk and actually trying to CAST out around the sheep.
This experience helps us to decide which pups to keep, train and work as sheepdogs, and is essential in our breeding program.
