@DragonnSlayerr That is where you are gravely mistaken. I can speak for this because I studied Judo, Karate, Aikido, Jukado, Jiujitsu, Savate, Yawara, Atewaza, and Arnis. Arnis, which is a Filipino martial arts, is the most complete and the deadliest among them. Yes, more deadly than samurai or Kendo. To say that Filipino fighting style is inferior means you are not an eclectic martial artist.

@R3M3MB3RxM3 Muay Thai may be able to compete with Chinese/Japanese/ Filipino martial arts. But to say Muay Thai is better than these means you have not really been into martial arts. Have you studied (not just read but practiced) any martial arts aside from Muay Thai? And FMA can use rolled up magazines or any viable wooden stick, not just knives, and beat the crap out of any Muay Thai expert. Please be eclectic in your martial arts knowledge before comparing them.

all the South East Asian Arts are good if you ask me. you just got to analyze them. The beauty of fma is that it empty hand is pretty much the same as with a knife and that the locks work very well on the street. Muay thai is good in that the clinch is great and elbows and knees are usually more technical and efficient, but it has become a sport.

Both are good but if i had to choose i would say fma because the philosophy is more realistic

@R3M3MB3RxM3 (filipno martial arts) fma is alot better such as panatukan which is a dirty style of filipno boxing. muay thai has nothing on eskrima ,kali or arnis because filipno martial arts and its people are more lethal then muay thai or people from thailand. muay thai only works when using it with something like another martial art like krav maga. most likely that a eskrimadors is going to win because filipno martial arts are more highly lethal then muay thai. muay thai only works as a sport

@benjiernmd Muay thai is alot better than the fancy chinese and japanese arts. And in my opinion the filipino one is only better than them when you are with a knife. Which is not good =P

@benjiernmd U exaggerate ur own abilities. And filipino martial arts isnt as good as expert martial arts groups like Muay Thai. This teaches you to use the knife... like a theif (therefore philipines). Its amusing in my opinion.
