  • that lead loco use to have the southern pacific written on the long hood walls but was removed in the last year or so and the ATN initals placed under the cab. I have in my possession the number board to the5387 . that number board was of DRGW heritage and when it was replaced with the current boards they were thrown into the dumpster. I went dumpster diving and got a trophy lol, thanks for sharing:)

  • One of the best sounds in railroading...thanks for posting!

  • All those tunnel motors were originally purchased by the Denver and Rio Grand Railroad for use on Colorado's tracks with MANY tunnels, they picked up the cool air at the lower parts of the tunnel, Kept the prime mover cooler that way!!

  • Cool! An active rail company I didn't even know existed. Not that my ignorance is surprising.

  • Nice to see an old SP tunnel motor still hard at work!! Thanks for sharing!

  • Nice video! Love to railfan myself.... I try to catch the trains when I can.. I want to catch more of the amtrak trains in Anniston....
