This is our basic "X" pattern sparring drill. Our concentration is on the high line with minor emphasize on the low line orientation.

This is freelance. The drill is to maintain the long range perspective until it is truly possible to enter unto a closer range position.

This is 1st level. The progression is towards all ranges, all level of attacks, from single opponent to multiple opponents.

The respect of the blade is enforce by using real bolo machete & OSS blue steel double edge knives from ColdSteel.

This training method is very dangerous. Please do not try this without proper instructions!

willie, no one wants to get cut by the blade. the cultural legacy u are speaking about goes way back before ww2. go check keris silat and the relation of silat to kali or arnis eskrima.
