@Lumbad2010 Open the VLC player. Go to 'advanced controls'. There should now be a record button

to everyone who says they cant find the record button.....go to view, click advanced controls, and then you should find it.

If it is using screen capture, when i will try to play it on anything bigger than my laptop, it will lose quality rapidly! WTF?

Hey man, I've tried every step you did on this video and it works perfectly, thanks man.. Oh by the way I got one question, do you know if you can record a dvd with subtitles, subtitles from the actual dvd disc??? Because I put subtitles from the start from the disc and in the end when I play through the movie there no subtitles :( please help me out.

It records but when i play it later, it doesnt have any sound. Help!

@WindowsAndMacintosh My VLC Player doesn't have a record red button
I downloaded VLC free from the net but, it doesn't have the record option. Is that something that only comes from a paid version?

Make sure you download the one from the description and enable the options (instructions in video).
