His wonderful work and music reaches a lot of audiences. I have read several of his books that have given me greater insight into his unique background and his relationship to the klezmer and Lautari he has met over his many treks throughout Eastern Europe.

These are SEMITIC modalities - common to Jews and Muslims of the Middle East. This is the real shit and Strom plays from the kishkes - wish more klezmers would! Klezmer comes first and foremost from Jewish life and then adopted idioms from host countries (like Poland). Anyway: Great person, great teacher, dare I say, great JEW - and a helluva musician. Amen.
