@VivoVitamBonam Sorry. I don't believe you.

@edidpro The best evidence is just the sheer volume of evidence from different fields and that it could be so easily disproved but never has been (creationists stating "This is wrong" isn't proof).
Personally I choose
3) The development of new creatures in newer layers of rock which are never seen in older rock.
2) The nested hierarchical genetic structure of all living things.
1) Redundant pseudogenes, endogenous retroviruses etc ie the existence of un needed genetic info in later species.

@chrisofnottingham You mentioned education. That's why I made the point. I'm not trying to "prove" anything by that statement. What is the best evidence for evolution in your estimation?
-
@chrisofnottingham There are a lot of educated people who don't think evolution is a valid paradigm. I can reduce that sentence further. You believe in evolution because. Of course I don't think this is an accurate description of your position and it's a terrible sentence.

@edidpro Late reply but it's just too tempting
"Do you really think all people who believe in creation are ignorant?"
Literally, yes.
" You "believe" in evolution because that's how you were educated. Nothing more. "
There are some unrequired words in this sentence, I suggest...
You believe in evolution because you were educated. Nothing more.
Strangely I was educated in the UK a long time ago and nobody taught me evolution either. I had to hear about it from my friends at Uni.
Just think what you could do with a brain that functioned the way it's supposed to do!

"On The Origin Of Species By Means Of Natural Selection Or The Preservation Of Favored Races In The Struggle For Life."
Did this snappy title lead to the "science" of Eugenics? Did Eugenics play any role in the Nazi ideology?
We are all indoctrinated. "Expelled" didn't prove anything to me but neither does Richard Dawkins.

"Races" refers to species and subspecies.
Eugenics appears in the Bible, so, no, the title of this particular publication by Charles Darwin did not lead to the idea nor practice of it. Hitler was a creationist; but regardless of his beliefs about the origins of species, be they natural or divine, it doesn't have any weight on the accuracy of Darwin's theory or creationist supposition.

"Races" refers to any sort of clade.

Actually, no, it isn't. I wasn't taught one thing about evolution until I was a junior in college; by that point, I already knew more about it than the professors teaching it. I researched it myself because no one else bothered to tell me anything. I did the same thing with sex education. And astronomy. And English structure. And two languages.
I'm very self-motivated, so don't putt the "you're indoctrinated" card.
