Manchester Rally for Gaza 2009

Large scale world-wide protests took place yesterday against the Israeli massacres in Gaza. In London, 150,000 marched to the Israeli embassy. Thousands also marched in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Belfast, Newcastle and Southampton. The London demonstration was part of a wave of outrage at Israel. More than 10,000 marched in Edinburgh. At least 30,000 protested in Paris and 100,000 in Barcelona. 100,000 marched in Algeria.

There were further marches in the US, Norway, Greece, Malaysia, Sweden, Bosnia, Lebanon, Thailand, South Korea, India and in the following cites: Cairo, Athens, Kuala Lumpur, Beirut, Seoul, Mexico City, Jakarta, Toronto, Montreal, Paris, Barcelona, Marseilles, Lyon, Oslo, Berlin, Bern, Karachi, Nablus, New Delhi, Amman, Sarajevo, Ramallah, Stockholm, New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Altanta, Charlotte, and Tokyo.
