SYNOPSIS: This bill would prohibit a state-supported college or university from adopting a policy prohibiting a person employed as a professor at the college or university from carrying a firearm on campus if the professor has any required license.

I'm simply quoting the law as it exists. It is legal to carry a concealed firearm on a college campus if you have a CCW permit. If you are a student, you may be expelled however.

The back of my Alabama CCW is blank. There are no restrictions listed on the card, however there is a prohibition to carry it on school campuses other than college campuses.

Current Alabama law: "Licensed concealed carry on college campuses is NOT statutorily prohibited."

There is pending legislation, sponsored by Senator Erwin, to allow students over 21 to carry on college campuses in the state of Alabama.

A license to conceal carry firearms does not authorize any person to carry a concealed firearm into:

Any airport, courthouse or any other public building that specifically prohibits firearms.

Any city, state and federal facilities.

Any public gatherings such as sporting events, political events, parades, etc.

This is written on the back of the Alabama CCW License. A university falls into the City,State,and Federal building category
