Saturday, March 22, 2008 - Vancouver joined 25 other cities around the world in a massive battle known as International Pillow Fight Day.
The event, happening simultaneously in places such as New York City, Shanghai and Budapest, is a celebration of public space and a chance for city-goers to peacefully pummel one another. The Vancouver event lasted 20 minutes.

I missed out on the pillow fight fun this time but I was there later to see the mess that it left behind. Caring citizens should be able to have fun like this in our city but they should also take responsibility for their actions and clean up afterwards. It's great to have events like this but cleaning up has to be a part of the event if we care about the environment and respect other people.
