one huge fucking sea lion popped up out of the water while i was surfing in Half moon bay in california. He was only 10 feet in front of me, i put my arms in the air and sarcastically went AHHHHHH!!!! The mother fucker HISSED at me with the most vicious face i've ever seen, his eyes huge and glossy black staring into mine deep like an owl, it dove into the water towards me, and i can guarentee you've never seen a short boarder paddle so hard, and go so fast as i did to get away from him.
