Free of each other? I don't think that's the line we're going for. We will still be neighbours, and not resentful of each other in any way. Independence will be about equality and not about power over other nations, as was the case under the union and the 'Great' days of Empire. It will be about the people's right to self determination.

I just hope and pray that if Paw Broon in England declares a general election Before our Independence vote, that we dont see the usual ''oh no! we better vote Labour to keep the tories out '' mentality that has plagued Scottish politics for Generations, otherwise Curran will win back this seat!

Longbow I agree that England want their independence. Is someone in England got the guts to start an English National Party, I think they would do really well at next General Election. However don't make up some fancy name for this new party, just call the England National Party.

my grandparents my parents all my family voted labour and I have voted Labour all my life but this time I switched to the S.N.P.Labour are more tory than the tories.

Actually BongoBrido, We English want Independence more than you Scots as has been shown yeat agin by recent polls. Sadly we English are denied any vote as the powers in government want to kep the Union. England could wipe it out in a stroke due to our size and economic power compared to Scotland and Wales. Sadly the government fear the English backlash and just laugh off the Scottish one.

Trust me when Independence comes at the Scottish cost we English will be celibrating too.
