Because as you said he is an influential muslim and his opinion does matter...at least what he thinks about muslims and Islam....now you are able to judge that what he says is not consistent with what he does...media exposes peoples' thoughts..not only what they do...when media allows people to speak their mind ...people who listens can make judgment if the person talking is for real or not...

@nelsonmandela1962 I dont kno about other countries. But all i knwo is SRK is not someone to look to as a muslim. He talks alot about islam but his actions speak otherwise. His marriage isnt even valid under the Shariah. So why are journalist asking him questions regrding muslims and islam

@sana012488 Maybe you are right. I made a research of muslim actors in Arab countries like Egypt about their involvement in charitable and humanitarian efforts and assistance.I found none. I do not know if I am looking at the right place...

@nelsonmandela1962 Muslims always playing the victim card - always with the poor us. Everyone gets real sick of this poor us crying. Crying poverty will never get u anywhere - no wonder if not for oil each & every muslim country would be dirt poor! And the rich muslim countries use thier oil money to incite hatred & violence & kill innocents - what a horrible religion!

@nelsonmandela1962 You dont have to be a politician to make a diffrence when it comes to human rights,murder and opression. Anyone can stand up to oppressors and be a humanitarian. But when it comes to SRK, he is no ordinary citicizen. He has influence, he could have used that influence to stop the murder of the muslims in mujrat. but he doesnt even focus on that, he just cares about movies. I only expet those with influence to do good. Not asking for much.

As i said, do not begrudge SRK . Like I said he is just an actor..he maybe popular, but does he really have real political power? He lives in a Hindu majority society and I am sure, by what he is doing as a muslim actor,he is also showing to the world and Hindus that muslims are good people too....

Maybe you expect too much from SRK.

@nelsonmandela1962 I highly doubt he did anything, because muslims in gujrat were killed, raped and slaughtered. He and the other muslim actors did nothing. This is opression to his fellow muslims in his own country. With all the power he has, he needs to speak out agaisnt the violance on muslims in india, but he never does. he has power to make ppl stop this, he doesnt use it for that. He uses it for shows and movies, while muslims suffer.

@nelsonmandela1962 The reason we can only marry muslim, chirstian ro jews is because the jews and christians are from the people of the book. they believe in the gospel and the torah, which muslims also believe in in their origional form. They also believe in the prophets jesus and Moses. All other religions do not believe in the books or prophets so we cant marry them. Savy?
