The pilot episode of Enterprise confused me quite a bit, but I never thought that they implied that it was depicting the Federation's first contact with the Klingons. Also, it would be too painful for me to rewatch the episode in the near future, so if I am dead wrong, it's okay to tell me.

@Treknologist Well Klang was the first Klingon Starfleet had any contact with and the Enterprise took him back to Qronos so I guess that's first contact with the Klingons. Then later in the series they had a few encounters with the Klingons but none of them ended badly or "costs countless lives" as Picard said in the episode "First Contact".

I know there is a character change for picard in the movies but i think picard is just sick of it all. i think maybe he is just tired of all the crap that continues to happen to him. cmon... who wouldnt go crazy on that borg in the holodeck. picard showed his true anger towards the borg. all the other stuff i will have to look into before i care.

in voyager when they "break the warp 10 barrier" everyone says that Tom Paris is the first so pass warp 10........ in TNG when the traveler comes onboard they go much faster then warp 10. anyone elce notice that. sorry tom, the whole crew of the enterprise-d beat you to it long before you even tried

I don't consider ST Enterprise canon. It's so bad they should just call it an alternate universe.

I never watched this stuff in sequence, I think all trek has fall guys and worf was just shoe horned in.

What about the episode where they bring scotty back at the dyson's sphere and when they said they were from the enterprise, scotty said that he knew kirk had brought the ship out of mothballs to get him (or something like that). then in the movie Generations, Scotty saw that kirk had disappeared from the enterprise B. So if scotty was there for that, when he got laid up in a transporter buffer, he should have known that Kirk was already gone.

@jisaid08 They met, briefly. But I think it's implied that first contact between the Federation and the Klingons - after the fed got formed, is when it went so badly wrong.
