Another vintage Special Effects Tribute. All UFO Special Effects Scenes from the Movie Close Encounters of the third kind, including the extended spaceship scene, are cut together (almost) in chronological order. Quote Wikipedia: "Special Effects by Douglas Trumbull (born April 8, 1942). A film director and special effects supervisor. He was responsible for the special effects of 2001: A Space Odyssey, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Blade Runner."
Because runningtime is more than 12 Minutes, i had to split in into 2 parts.

    Nothing the despite, there are no stupid Questions, only stupid Answers ;)

    CGI = Computer Generated Images.

  • What's the name of this theme?

    Is it available on iTunes?

  • @BurlingtonNorthernRy I do not DARE to name any Music anymore. Afraid it gets deleted then. Sorry! Complaints to the Music Industry pls.

  • No they shouldn't the movie is great as is. They are remaking too many movies these days that don't need to be remade.

  • CG has ruined any possibility of movies this great ever being made again and I don't care how good the plot is ,nothing compares to these special effects.CG looks glossy and does not have the same weight or substance as stop motion and models etc...

  • Computer Generated Imaging :)

  • I'm watching this on Netflix right now & I bought the 30 anniversary on Blu Ray. If you are a fan of this movie I say buy the Blu Ray. LOOKS great in HD.

  • I still love this movie to this day, one of Spielberg's best. And to those who think otherwise, get lost and go watch Avatar or something.

  • @MetalApe

    I asked it because if you type CGI in google you get different results so i didn't now at which one you where talking about.

  • @MetalApe Good piece of editing there,son! Got a question; The theme music...sounds familiar. Is it by Nick Nolan?

  • Which is why he was nominated for Best Director for this movie.
