Known as Corridor II, Modern Transit Partnership commissioned a $300,000+ study to look at passenger rail. Based on conceptual engineering, Gannet Fleming Senior Transportation Consultant Joe Daversa and Benatec/Century Engineering Vice President Timothy Przybylowski proposed that a Lebanon to Harrisburg passenger rail train would stop in Lebanon at the historic train station on 8th Street; Annville just east of Lebanon Valley College; Hershey at the Intermodel Center; Hummelstown on Hanover Street; Harrisburg East at Paxtang Avenue (Pike Street); and Harrisburg on Market Street at the postal property.
Audience members encouraged a rail stop in Palmyra too.
To see the entire presentation and ask questions, consider attending a second public meeting at 10AM on November 18, 2009 at HACC, 735 Cumberland St., Lebanon.
