Ride Around The Lake and my|place Youth Housing

There are over 1,500 homeless young people in the Illawarra every night. my|place is about breaking the cycle of homelessness for young people in our cityRide Around The Lake is a 40km community bike ride designed to raise funds for my|place.

In 2009 Ride Around The Lake raised over $23,000 for homeless youth in the Illawarra. This year we are aiming to raise over $50,000!

Ride Around The Lake is more than a fun family day, its about changing lives, with funds raised going towards my|place youth housing, a Lighthouse Community Care local initiative. This facility consists of two houses; one for boys and the other for girls, providing accommodation and mentoring for displaced young people.
