This ten minute clip is drawn from the famous 1950s game show, and it's quite surreal. I don't use the word surreal loosely: the special guest is Salvador Dali.

Arlene Francis, even with a blindfold on, is absolutely gorgeous! And can I just say, how wonderful is it that they dressed like they did on tv back then. They look wonderful, and they speak so properly. And the game itself is seemingly more intellectual than games today, basically I'm saying I love how better these old shows are compared to shows today, on basically every level.

Better? By what standard? These shows were marketed to alienated few. "What's my Line?" was not terribly popular. This is just a game show. And I have to say, the host seemed like a pedantic douche.

since you're flying the flag... didja ever see the spoof on "second city" --panel is baffled about the identity of "a famous canadian film star" -they take off their blind folds, turn around and stare at the "famous canadian" --still stumped they just shake their heads bewildered [a priceless john candy moment]

I wish people on American television still spoke in this manner. Even in supposedly-serious news programming, they are today more inclined to speak with the tics and vocabularies of 14 year old's high on Pepsi.

he was giving answers that would be misconstrued by the panel, as well as answers that were just plain incorrect.
