It had no interest at all seeing democracy in taiwan. u.s. foreign strategy since after Reagan has shifted away from ideology to much more pragmatic: securing natural resources and raw materials. but the implementation is still the same: supporting leaders regardless if they dictators of elected ones

I honor Chiang Kai Shek after all the turmoil he's gone through in the first half of the century and his resilience on preserving Chinese culture in on tiny Taiwan. Despite much criticism, he shall definitely be revered as a great leader of China once China-Taiwan relations are resolved. He and Sun Yat-Sen, that dynamic-duo. Yeah!

Check out the video of "日治時代宣傳片《南進台灣》" (Mzz_bMBEboI) on youtube. It has 7 parts. The film was produced in 1930's. As you can see in the video, most building were built in 20's or even earlier. That film is propaganda indeed, but it also proves that this 1961 propaganda film is a big lie, since most infrastructure in this 61 video done prior to 1930s. It's more than 30 years before the film was made.
