4" MBRP muffler delete pipe before and after. Also have removed the silencer ring from the turbo. Huge difference in sound. Cat is still installed. Pretty simple swap out.

I took mine out a couple of days ago and it seems to rev faster and the turbo spools up faster also.

  • Wrong. it has no performance gains from taking the ring out, strictly just for sound.

  • shu1o - he took the silencer ring out for 2 main reasons

    1. It increased air flow - which increases power and fuel mileage

    2. Sounds hella good

  • i have the same truck. I pulled the silencer ring out of mine, but I didn't notice much of a difference. I also deleted the muffler and cats, and added an 8" rolled tip... sounds good man.

  • Y did you take the silencer ring out the turbo? I heard all removing it does is make the turbo whine louder. Did you notice much of a difference when you took it off?
