  • Lol, I love watching people try to explain fixed gears, mainly because I have such a freaking hard time explaining it, Most people won't understand it until they get on the bike...or at least until they try to stop pedaling.

  • Wow, Ellen is such a dyke.

  • Fixie pixie...

  • so what did they get him?

  • 3 steps to riding a fixed gear, step 1, hear about it "that sounds stupid" step 2 Try it "whoah this is weird, fuck this" Step 3 ride more fall in love "what was i riding before?"

  • track bikes are the shit! they let you feel the actual force of gravity!

  • @wheelyjting lol relax guy... I love track bikes as much as the next guy but I have the common sense to admit that those 'useless gears' are actually more efficient than a single speed. and the maneuverability of a bike isn't based on the drivetrain so your taffic argument is kinda stupid -_-

  • 1. fixed gear is a brake system in itself, 2. they are for use on oval tracks, why? because you need something fast to do track racing, aswell as messengering.

and track bikes, not 'fixies' btw, were first used by carribian immigrants in ny for messenger work in the 80s, and so most people caught on and also used them, 'fixie' IS fasion, track is performance at its best, you really think you can move like that in traffic with all your 12,18 or however many pointless gears you have? get real

  • @7Prozak7 But messenger have used fixies for a long time.

  • @Mafiage55 When couriering whos started , bicycles whos normal road bikes or old MTB , then fashion come and now you haw that style on the roads . Fixie is like going from 45 flor with out elevator . Maybe brave but unnecessary .

  • @Mafiage55 I ride fixie few times . You schould make a proposition to professional riders in Tour de France or Giro , ask them why they don't wont to be so fast on super fast fixies , why the don't use it ? You should go 30 mph and brake 10 meters in front of wall using only your stupid rear brake , that will be the last moment in your extremal life . Performance , this is it , not stupid bike , oh look at me , I have no brakes and i'm still a life .

  • @7Prozak7 Have you ever ridden a fixie? If you have you know that it gives you a lot better control, and you don't need to press brake all the time, so you can focus a lot more on riding.
