Lord Summerisle: "And the ministers fled the island never to return. What my grandfather started out of expediency, my father continued out of love. He brought me up the same way: to reverence the music, and the drama, and the rituals of the old gods; to love nature and to fear it, and to rely on it and to appease it when necessary. He brought me up--"

Sergeant Howie: "He brought you up to be a pagan!"

Lord Summerisle: "A heathen conceivably but, not I hope, an unenlightened one."

  • this song makes me feel like it is the end of life for someone and they are having a few flashbacks of beautiful moments as they walk in a forest taking in the sights while knowing death is just a couple minutes away. I know that's not what he song is about but that's how I see it.

  • un tema inspirador para una noche fria y lluviosa te transporta adonde tus sentimientos quieran ir...

  • @Pryce2112 God doesn't always mean the christian god. I take it as nature is their version of god, which is Pantheism.

  • "A heathen conceivably but not I hope an unenlightened one."

  • I just watched The Wicker Man for the first time and i loved it. It was such an amazingly done cult movie. A true classic with an ending as gruesome as any. Agallochs music fits with that movie like peanut butter and jelly.

  • Beautiful, simply beautiful

  • @KSCIAA I love that film.

  • @Gothillian I agree.

  • @Pryce2112 It's all about your perspective of ''god''.
