"Heard any good rumours lately? it's true! Jim's gay!"

Seemed like the band did a little ranking on Jim during this show.. A lil tension with him was definintely in the air, and this did turn out to be his last show.

Performed live at The Phoenix Festival in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England on July 17, 1993.

  • Jim Martin was FNM's best guitar player. You can tell the difference between the we care a lot/introduce yourself/the real thing/angel dust and the other later albums in terms of guitar work. Thankfully, Patton's vocals, Gould's bass, Puffy's drums, and Roddy's keyboard carried the band in terms of making KFAD and album of the year great albums too.

  • gay or not the guy has great hair.

  • I had a bootleg casette of this show, this part always bummed me out. Strange to see it live a soo long after. Jim was just as important as anyone in the band and his influence is reflected in the albums that followed.

  • Great solo

  • Can't deny that Jim Martin is playing very well, musically he had the best fit of all FNM guitarist. Although Hudson is reliable, Jim is always more improvising & creative.

  • @Politicianssuckass The Big Sick Ugly one and the Puff did play in a band with Cliff Burton before FNM. However there was no love lost when it ended and Puffy was sceptical about having Jim in FNM. "He's an asshole but he's a good guitarist!" was his opinion when Bill and Roddy asked the Puff what he thought of Jim.

  • @Politicianssuckass Puffy and Jim never got along very well, at least not in the early days of the band.

  • Jim Martin is far from being gay and whoever thinks so is an idiot. He's married with two kids. That's part of the reason why he split cause u had Roddy running around telling anyone who would listen "I'm gay" like an activists. Patton pulling shit stained tampons out of his asshole on stage and smelling them. Then Patton would take a shit in box and treat it as if it was a pet rock. Jim was like fuck these clowns. Mike "Puffy" Bordin was his only friend and got along well together.

  • Good joke, Roddy is gay himself, Mike is doubtfull. Only thing I know "sure" is that Jim is not gay! Strange that a conservative straigth guy like Jim could play in this kind of 'gay"-band!

  • i like the bit with faith no more...
