  • You should maybe give the Gamebore Buffalo No. 3 shot in 42 gram for foxes a go they drop them very well and give you a lovely smack in the shoulder and they are a bit cheaper than those 50 gram BB's I get them for about 13 quid for 25 :)

  • @pemberton213 since posting, I found some Lyalvale Express 50gm BBs for £16 a box, I don't shoot many at all, so the epense isn't such an issue, I've never really been that happy about using such small shot on fox, I know others do and have sucess, but I like the reassurance of the larger pellet. I did some patterning a while back and the 50gm BB still gives a good killing pattern with 1/4 choke out to 35m or so

  • thank you for the informative video. this is probably a stupid question but i'm curious. can you buy buckshot (0, 00, 000) and slugs in the UK? thanks

  • @ab1274 I'm sure you can, but most shot sizes only go up to SSG which I guess would be something like 00 buck, go onto the hull cartridge website- there's all the shot sizes on there, you'll find the US ones elsewhere, but I have to ask, why do you want 00 buck? it's almost useless in a sporting context as there are so few pellets which will leave a very gappy pattern, if it's for fun then sure, but slug is only avalable to FAC holders and consequently, you must have "good reason" to posess them

  • love the voice change

  • I live in scotland and your allowed to use lead to shoot geese and ducks and i use 40g mini mags in 4s for geese and 35g victory in 4s. I also use very tight choke 3/4 and full for geese and i can kill to 60yards

  • @danebrewer10 thanks for the reply. Here in the States 00 buck is a very common home defense

and law enforcement cartridge. But yeah, no sporting purpose other than deer and bear hunting/defense.

Besides the spread and low number of pellets, they have too much recoil and are too

expensive for much else. I will be referring to your video on

chokes when I get into skeet/clay shooting. Cheers

  • @danebrewer10 WTF!? you crazy , the last one you showd us was a buckshot u can kill a deer with that in 50 yrds.

and you shoot rabbit and pigeon with #5-6?? 32gm !!? WTF!.

I can hit al pigeons, rabbits here in 50 yrds with #7-8! 24 gm

    about ducks you're right 32 gm and # 5

but geese!? use steelshot and #4-5 32 gm go for a neckshot alway's cuz if you don't you won't kill it instanly. you easely shoot geese in 30-40 yards...

but for fox use hevy tunskton #3-4 kil within 45-40 yrds
