Scene from Episode 5, Season 2 of BBC's Robin Hood series.

Robin Hood discovers that Allan-a-Dale was betraying the gang. This scene contains spoilers, and belongs to the BBC.

It's sad, but I can really relate with Allan's motivations for his actions.

  • I have just recently got the Robin Hood Series 2 Boxset and I think it is great so far, and I think it would have been better for the public to not know who the traitor was and for him to always be hooded when talking to Gisborne or walking in Nottingham Town. Then we would all be going 'Who could the traitor be?' And it would be amazing when we find out who because it would have made those first 5 episodes much more better.

  • I've thought that too. It would have been fun for us to not know who it was, so when we found out, we could go back through and watch Allan for reactions to what happened because of him (like the death of Roger). As long as they didn't discard that scene when Allan was tortured. *wink*

  • I love Allan's little speech in this scene, it's so spot on. I hope this storyline lasts a while, it's really interesting. And yeah, I definitely can see Allan's point of view in all this.

Thanks for putting this up :)

  • You're welcome :D I agree Allan is very compelling. I'd hate it if they didn't develop him more.

  • this is the best scene from s2 imho. Brilliantly played by both actors and the script is actually good. So much tension

  • I really love it when Robin says "Everything is a choice! Everything we do!"

It's so true. I love the Robin Hood series, and I can't get enough of Robin ;)

  • Yes, that would had been a good way of creating the tension.

Also, kinda OT, but I'm in america and only have series 1, you said they have a 'boxset' for series 2? Is it like more features or just a plain regular series 2? Boxset just sounds more packed, I guess. lol

  • Robin is too big headed

  • Much is his servant. Lol. But, yeah, I hate how Robin belittles Much! That makes the rest of the gang feel like it's okay to make fun of him and call him dumb, too. I hate when they're mean to Much. He doesn't deserve it.

  • I think he is worried about Marian. You can't blame him for being severe over the idea that the love of his life might be in danger because of Allan.

Though, yes, I agree that he is very uppity. What can you expect from an earl during feudal England? Nobles had everything, and the poor people worked for them and depended on them.

  • I agree with you there...I think that the producers have done a good job of showing how entitled Robin can be at times. After all, he is "lord of the manor" even if he's an outlaw, and he's used to being in charge. After its over, he'll be a lord again and everyone else will be peasants. This scene goes well with the one in episode 12 when Much is talking about how Robin treats him (much) like a servant and not a friend.

  • Allan Love him! Dark Allan cool !!!

    but lonely?Allan?

    I cry this scene・・・・
