Ducati Desmosedici vs Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Which is fastest - the Ducati Desmosedici RR or the Ferrari 430 Scuderia? Car fans will argue a supercar can out-brake and out-corner a bike, but we'll point out that a bike's power-to-weight ratio is much better, so in a straight race the car will never even get close enough to the bike to use its 'magic' powers.




To prove two wheels are better than four forever, were pitching arguably the best road bike in the world against one of the best road cars, in perfect conditions at the Almeria circuit in Spain. Watch the video to see the result.

I still think these test are a bit stupid because the weight to power ratio of the bike is so much bigger then the cars'. the bike has more horsepower then it weighs, so if you'd smash like 1600 hp in the ferrari and then some technology so it can handle it, maybe this test would go different. But I prefer bikes none the less cause they cost much less and are more fun to drive :)

@ozekiozeki1 only because of the cost of the bloody thing. if re-sale price was irrelevant I'd save the Desmo all day. You know how many of those things were even made?!

To be honest...I am completely happy with my Yamaha's. I don't think I would enjoy owning or riding that bike; to much money to lay down, and to many Italian problems. Beautiful machines though.
