Lenny Dee performing "Theme from Rhapsody in Blue" on November 2, 1982 at his club, Lenny Dee's Kings Inn at Treasure Island, Florida. Lenny plays his customized white Hammond Model A. On drums is Lenny's son, J. R.. This was Lenny's last performance in his second show of the evening. The final few seconds of the video capture Lenny singing to himself at the end of his show, "how sweet it is to be loved by you...". This is a clip from a personal video. Many more clips of Lenny performing music and comedy skits taken from my video can be found in my YouTube channel.
what a talent lenny dee was on the organ, but I do not like some of his off comments, at other peoples expense. he must of had problems excepting homosexuals, which were problem alot of his best fans!

you missed a treat! He was a mentor to me. I used to play for Kawai years ago. He offered me so much advice for performing and was a good friend. He never was egotistical, he was so good to everyone.
I remember organists who played for manufacturers would say "he'll never come hear us play etc." By golly they were always shocked when ole' Lenny walked in. He was always building up other organists.
He was truly a great one

This man was my inspiration. My sole regret is that I never got to meet him in person. What a talent !! We lost one of the greatest organist that lived when he left us. I grew up listening to his music.
